Rumah Tyang Ubud brings together two elegant, 100-year-old noble Javanese houses, restored with vintage wood and a warm, rustic character. Behind your private entrance is a villa that’s entirely yours: a private pool, bathrooms with plush towels and open-air rainfall showers, and breakfast included for up to six guests. Parking is right at the door, and the setting is a true Ubudian village—expect roosters, birds, dogs, and frogs in the distance, but not people or loud music. It’s peaceful by design: a place to relax in a beautiful pool house and feel at home.

We had an amazing stay at Rumah Tyang. Julie was super responsive and very helpful. Right from airport transfers to a really late check in…everything went smoothly. We realised at the last minute that we had miscalculated our dates and needed an extra night in ubud. Julie sorted us out promptly even though the space we had booked from the next day was already booked for the extra night we required. Kadek was the caretaker present at the villa and was superb too. He made us yummy breakfast every morning too. Rumah Tyang was easily walkable from Ubud palace, Ubud market and the Saraswati temple. Five stars. 👌

An absolute gem! 10 minute walk to central Ubud. Fantastic hosts. Looks exactly like photos. Yes, there are bugs… people, you are staying in an open cabin! Yes, rosters will wake you up in the morning, they live next door. The pool was perfect, clean, and was my kid’s’ favorite. They did not want to leave. What an amazing place to stay !
Everything you need and more.
Location is great so close to center of Ubud.
The accomodation was incredible so clean and the beds were extremely comfy.
So accommodating with airport pick up and drop off but also with sorting extra things out like classes/tours and bike rentals.
Made breakfast in the morning for us and we love it.
The driver was so nice and friendly.
Would definitely recommend this place to anyone and would definitely stay again.

Out of all the places we stayed in Bali this one by far was my favorite. The customer service was above and beyond. We had a very late flight the next day after checkout and the host found us a place at one of her other villas for us to stay for a fraction of the cost till our flight. Anytime we needed anything they responded quickly. The villa was right in walking distance of all the shops and restaurants which was very nice. Breakfast was cooked daily for us which was also nice. The place itself was traditional and very peaceful. I highly recommend!
